Real Madrid vs Leganes: Team News, Preview, Live Stream, TV Info

The capital club are expected to rest many key figures for Saturday's clash as they prepare for Bayern Munich's visit in the Champions League

There may be nothing Real Madrid can do to stop Barcelona from winning La Liga this weekend, but Zinedine Zidane's men still have the fight for second place to keep in mind when they host Leganes on Saturday.

A 15-point difference between third-place Madrid and leaders Barca means the capital club have hardly been in the race this season and the Catalan side need just a draw from Sunday's trip to Deportivo to complete the formality.

But Madrid can still close the four points that separate them and local rivals Atletico Madrid to add to their pursuit of a third consecutive Champions League crown.

They will have to try without many key players, however, as Zidane is expected to rest the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Marcelo - and they have already been stung by Leganes in the Copa del Rey this term.

Everything you need to know ahead of Los Blancos' league game at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend.

Real Madrid return to action in La Liga on Saturday against Leganes, but Zinedine Zidane's side will also be looking ahead to Tuesday's Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich.

Los Blancos beat Bayern 2-1 in the sides' first match at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday and, with Barcelona set to clinch the Primera Division title, European glory is very much the focus for Real.

Madrid are currently third in La Liga, 15 points behind Barca, with five fixtures remaining. And, although they cannot catch the Catalans, they will want to finish above Atletico, who are four points ahead with one more match played, in second spot.

Team News

Real Madrid
Madrid have been struck with a double blow in the wake of their midweek win over Bayern Munich as Dani Carvajal and Isco face weeks out with injuries.

Isco and Dani Carvajal picked up injuries against Bayern on Wednesday and both players will be absent this weekend. The two will also miss the second-leg match at home to the German side on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nacho is doubtful after his recent injury.

Meanwhile, Nacho is a doubt and star man Cristiano Ronaldo could be left out for this game.

Potential Real Madrid starting XI: Navas, Achraf, Ramos, Vallejo, Theo, Ceballos, Llorente, Kovacic, Bale, Benzema, Asensio

Leganes knocked Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey earlier this season with a shock 2-1 win at the Bernabeu and the capital club are safe from relegation with 40 points from their 34 matches in La Liga this term.

The 'Pepineros' drew 0-0 with Deportivo La Coruna last weekend, a result that confirms their status in the top flight for next season. However, they have lost their last six league games away from home.

Winger Alexander Szymanowski is sidelined, while defender Ezequiel Munoz is doubtful.

Potential Leganes starting XI: Cuellar, Zaldua, Bustinza, Siovas, Rico, Gabriel, Perez, Eraso, El Zhar, Amrabat, Ramos.
