Arsenal 3-2 Southampton: Premier League TV channel, live streaming online, start time

With a top-four spot almost an impossibility for the Gunners, they will nevertheless be keen for victory as they hope to finish 2017-18 on a high

Arsenal welcome Southampton to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in full knowledge that their hopes of taking a Champions League spot next season are all but over in the Premier League.

Tottenham's 2-1 victory over Stoke City on Saturday means that the Gunners trail their north London rivals by 16 points, with just 21 still in play before the end of the campaign.

With Chelsea also ahead in the table, the Europa League now looks like Arsenal's best bet to make the Champions League, but they will nevertheless hope for a win against the relegation-troubled Saints.

For the first time in an age, Arsenal are looking up the table rather than down as they welcome Southampton to the Emirates Stadium.

Back-to-back 3-0 wins, albeit unconvincing in their delivery, and Chelsea's dire run of form has seen the Gunners move to within five points of the fifth-placed reigning Premier League champions.

Southampton, meanwhile, are in all sorts of trouble after yet another defeat to a relegation rival as West Ham blew them away with their own 3-0.

Another loss for Mark Hughes & Co. could all but confirm their end-of-season fate but the Gunners may have one eye on their Europa League quarter-final second leg against CSKA Moscow.

Team news
Arsenal will be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Sunday.

The Armenia international limped out of Thursday's Europa League win over CSKA Moscow with a knee problem and will not be fit for the clash with Saints.

Goalkeeper David Ospina (ankle) is also sidelined, as is long-term absentee Santi Cazorla (Achilles), but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can return having been cup-tied in Europe.

Provisional squad: Cech, Macey, Holding, Mustafi, Chambers, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Nelson, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Elneny, Wilshere, Ramsey, Ozil, Iwobi, Welbeck, Lacazette, Nketiah, Aubameyang.

Southampton's Mario Lemina faces a late fitness test before their manager Mark Hughes selects his starting XI for Sunday's visit to Arsenal.

The defensive midfielder is yet to fully recover from a virus but returned to training on Friday and could yet be passed fit. Sam McQueen has already been ruled out, owing to a groin injury.

Provisional squad: Forster, McCarthy, Taylor, Soares, Pied, Bertrand, Stephens, Hoedt, Yoshida, Targett, Lemina, Davis, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Hojbjerg, Boufal, Long, Redmond, Tadic, Gabbiadini, Austin, Carrillo.
