Man United vs Man City: Premier League the Manchester derby

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho does not think he would be allowed to make a political statement on the touchline like Manchester City counterpart Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola has recently worn a yellow ribbon - a symbol of protest against the imprisonment of pro-independence politicians in the Spanish region of Catalonia.

Manchester United and Man City face off in what could be a Premier League title-deciding derby on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's City lead city rivals United by eight points heading into the Old Trafford clash, with Jose Mourinho's Red Devils well off the pace despite sitting second in the table.

A win for City on United's turf would guarantee the League leaders an 11-point lead after just 16 games, but victory for Mourinho's men could blow the title race wide open heading into a busy festive fixture pile-up.

Jose vs Pep

The derby is fast approaching, and the war of words continues...

Jose Mourinho believes Manchester City's players go down very easily, with the Manchester United boss saying it only takes a "little bit of wind" to knock them over.

While full of praise for Guardiola's side, the Portuguese used the opportunity to underline the unbeaten league leaders' apparent tendency to go to the deck.

"They are a good team," Mourinho said. "They defend well, they react well to the moment they lose the ball.
"They have a good dynamic in attack, they have creative movement.
"They have amazing players, they have a fantastic coach, they have lots of good things.
"If you ask me one thing that I don't like a lot it's that they lose their balance very easily.
"You know, a little bit of wind and they fall."
