Leicester vs Manchester City: EFL Cup

Pep Guardiola has said it breaks his heart to leave players out of his starting line-up, ahead of Manchester City's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Leicester on Tuesday, live on Sky Sports Football.

So far this season, Manchester City boss Guardiola has used the Carabao Cup to give his fringe players first-team opportunities with Claudio Bravo and Yaya Toure among others featuring prominently in the competition.

Manchester City are aiming to win their third EFL Cup in five seasons and visit Leicester City on Tuesday for a place in the semi-finals.

Manuel Pellegrini won the competition twice during his tenure but Pep Guardiola's first tilt was stopped by Manchester United last season.

City have lost just once across all competitions this term, a Champions League dead rubber against Shakhtar Donetsk, but were less than convincing in the previous two League Cup ties to give the Foxes a glimmer of hope.
