Everton and Arsenal face off at Goodison Park on Sunday with both sides in real need of Premier League points.

Ronald Koeman spent big on his squad this summer to raise expectations, but the Toffees sit 16th in the table heading into the weekend's action and without a win in four games - losing a bad-tempered Europa League home clash to Lyon on Thursday.

The Everton manager arguably needs a result against Arsenal to avoid being sacked, while Arsene Wenger is also under pressure to deliver at Goodison.

Arsenal may be flying high in the Europa League after keeping their 100 per cent record in Thursday's win at Red Star Belgrade, but the Gunners already sit nine points behind leaders Manchester City after three League losses in just eight games.

Start time

Everton host Arsenal at Goodison Park with kick-off scheduled for 1:30pm on Sunday, October 22.

TV and live online coverage

The match will be televised live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage starting from 12:30pm. Sky Sports subscribers will be able to stream the match online via SkyGo and the SkyGo app.

Team News

Wenger insists Jack Wilshere will soon get a chance to impress in the Premier League after another impressive performance in the Europa League, where he played a decisive part in Olivier Giroud's winner in Belgrade.

The Gunners will be without Shkodran Mustafi as the defender faces a long layoff with a thig strain, while Danny Welbeck is out with a hamstring problem.

Calum Chambers' hip injury further reduces Wenger's defensive options - he fielded a back three of Rob Holding, Mohamed Elneny and Mathieu Debuchy on Thursday - while Santi Cazorla remains out until the New Year.

Everton may be in 16th place but a win against Arsenal on Sunday could see them close the gap on the Gunners to two points.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was criticised for his team selection in the Europa League defeat to Lyon on Thursday as the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Wayne Rooney and Phil Jagielka were rested.

James McCarthy is fit and available for selection but Seamus Coleman, Yannick Bolasie, Ross Barkley and Ramiro Funes Mori are all out injured.

Koeman's last victory in the league was almost a month ago against Bournemouth but he will be confident coming up against an Arsenal side who have a poor away record.

Predicted line-ups

Everton starting XI: Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Jagielka, Baines, Gueye, Davies, Vlasic, Sigurdsson, Calvert-Lewin, Rooney

Arsenal starting XI: Cech, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Bellerin, Xhaka, Ramsey, Kolasinac, Sanchez, Ozil, Lacazette
