Arsenal vs Bournemouth: Premier League prediction, team news, line-ups, start time, live, TV

Arsene Wenger is already under fierce pressure just three games into the new Premier League season as Arsenal host Bournemouth on Saturday.

Wenger and his squad have come under criticism from Arsenal fans and pundits alike after two defeats from their opening three matches, with the 4-0 defeat at Liverpool leaving the Gunners' title hopes in severe doubt.

The failure to sign Thomas Lemar - plus Alex Oxlade Chamberlain's Liverpool transfer and doubt over the futures of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil - have left the club in a state of flux following the end of the transfer window, but Wenger must set aside those problems and ensure the Gunners get back to winning ways at the Emirates.

Bournemouth seem like perfect opponents for Arsenal given that Eddie Howe's men sit in the bottom three without a point this term, but a last-gasp defeat to Manchester City last time out suggests the Cherries may provide a sterner test than first expected.

Team news

Arsenal have no new injury concerns ahead of Saturday's clash.

Laurent Koscielny should be fit despite suffering an injury while on international duty with France and everyone else returned unscathed.

Jack Wilshere is unlikely to feature against the Cherries as he continues to work back to full fitness while Santi Cazorla (ankle) will be missing until after Christmas.

Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Mertesacker, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Mustafi, Bellerin, Nelson, Kolasinac, Ramsey, Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny, Ozil, Giroud, Walcott, Sanchez, Iwobi, Welbeck, Lacazette.

Bournemouth expect captain Simon Francis to be back in contention. The defender has not featured since the first game of the new season because of a hamstring problem.

Otherwise, Cherries boss Eddie Howe reported no fresh injury concerns with forwards Junior Stanislas (groin) and Callum Wilson (knee) continuing their rehabilitation.

Provisional squad: Begovic, Mings, Ake, S Cook, A Smith, Daniels, Gosling, Surman, Arter, King, Defoe, Mousset, Boruc, L Cook, B Smith, Ibe, Fraser, Afobe, Francis

Arsene Wenger has achieved so much with Arsenal but he cut such a solitary figure after the Liverpool game that I actually felt sorry for him.

I do think they will beat Bournemouth but I am afraid to say that, if they do, they will just be papering over the cracks.

Prediction: 2-0
