England vs Germany: International friendly prediction, team line-ups and where to watch on TV

England continue their preparations for the 2018 World Cup by hosting two glamour friendlies in November, with Germany first up at Wembley tonight.

The two rivals met recently as Lukas Podolski signed off from international duty with a stunner as Gareth Southgate began his permanent Three Lions contract with a 1-0 loss in March.

Germany, ranked first in the current Fifa world rankings, won 10 and drew two of their next 12 games, winning the Confederations Cup and qualifying for next summer's World Cup with ease.

England were downed 1-0 in Germany's last visit to Wembley and have not bettered their rivals on home soil since 1975, but have won two of three away trip

Start time

England host Germany at Wembley Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 8pm on Friday, November 10.

TV and live online coverage

The match will be televised live on ITV1 and ITV1 HD, with coverage starting from 7.30pm. The channel is Free To Air in the UK or can be streamed online via ITV Hub.

Alternatively, you can follow all the build-up and action from 7pm with NEW GERSY blog.

Gary Cahill had been passed fit by Chelsea and joined the squad on Tuesday, but sat out of training on Thursday morning. Jack Butland broke a finger in the same session and will miss out.

Mario Gotze and Ilkay Gundogan have earned recalls to the Germany squad after missing most of 2017 through injury.

Bayern pair Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller miss out through injury, while uncapped full-back Marcel Halstenburg is a surprise inclusion.
