new gersy/ Tottenham vs Liverpool: Premier League

Liverpool travel to Tottenham on Sunday with the intention of building on their attacking rejuvenation at Maribor and extending Mauricio Pochettino's winless record against them as Spurs boss.

Tottenham face Liverpool on Sunday looking for a first win over their title rivals in five years, the longest barren run against any of the Premier League's top six.

Spurs beat Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City last season alone, but have not ended up on winning side against the Reds since November 2012.

Much has changed in the interim, however, as Tuesday's thoroughly deserved draw with Real Madrid proved, and with a first Wembley league win under their belts Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for more this weekend.

Liverpool's record against the Premier League's fellow big boys is impressive - that 5-0 thrashing by Man City aside - and they head to north London fresh off scoring seven in the Champions League.

Start time

Tottenham host Liverpool at Wembley Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 4pm on Sunday, October 22.

TV and live online coverage

The match will be televised live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage starting from 3.30pm. Sky Sports subscribers will be able to stream the match online via SkyGo and the SkyGo app.

Alternatively, you can follow all the build-up and action from 3pm with NEW GERSY blog.

Team news

Liverpool
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is set for a recall for Sunday's trip. The midfielder was rested for the 7-0 Champions League victory over Maribor but will return at Wembley, meaning that James Milner could well miss out despite his impressive midweek performance.

Simon Mignolet will return in goal and Joe Gomez could come into defence as Jurgen Klopp continues to rotate his young full-backs.

Tottenham
Spurs have not suffered defeat across all competitions since August 20, being typically uncharitable at the back while Harry Kane punishes the opposition at the other end.

The striker has been responsible for 50% of his side's goals in the league and on the continent this season and Liverpool will look to restrict the supply to him, which they have done well in recent encounters.

Pochettino is an advocate of "not losing identity" - and especially in the bigger games - and Tottenham will not abandon their aggressive approach against the Reds.

Predicted line-ups

Tottenham starting XI: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Alderweireld; Trippier, Sissoko, Winks, Eriksen, Vertonghen; Son, Dele; Kane

Liverpool starting XI: Mignolet; Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Can; Salah, Firmino, Coutinho
